Fun at Sentosa

It had been a long time since the last cohesion event.

Common Tern in action!

The Common Tern (Sterna hirundo) is a seabird of the tern family Sternidae. This bird has a circumpolar distribution breeding in temperate and sub-Arctic regions of Europe, Asia and east and central North America. It is strongly migratory, wintering in the subtropical and tropical oceans. It is sometimes known as the sea swallow.

Working partner in hospital!!!!

Sold away my D700 not long ago and my current working partner (D300) had to be in hospital (Nikon Service centre) for 2 weeks due to LCD problem in the viewfinder. Lucky, the camera still within warranty period. So i wont be upload any photo for the time being.

Sea Otters at Sungei Buloh

Once again, i went to sungei buloh to practice my birding photography skill.
instead of looking for birds, i found these marine mammal - Sea otter.
They are catching fish for their lunch.



Take note that sea otter remains classified as an endangered species.

Sungei Buloh - bird shooting

Bought a Nikon 2x TC teleconverter and went to Sungei Buloh to practice my birding photography skill.
Today i am lucky, manage to found a woodpecker.
This species of woodpecker is Black-rumped Flameback, (Dinopium benghalense), also known as the Lesser Golden-backed Woodpecker.

Equipment - D300 + 300mm f2.8 + 2x teleconverter.

BUTTERFLY - Eooxylides tharis distanti (Branded Imperial)

Went to Bukit Batok Nature Park for shooting. It was a hot day so i did not stay for long. Caught this beautiful butterfly posing so quickly set up my equipment and shoot.

Nearly all Lycaenidae are small yet colorful butterflies. The family consisting of Hair-streaks, Coppers and Blues. Many species are associate with ants during their early stage of life and practise mutual symbiosis with ants.
